Standard grey male chinchilla -- "Luigi"
Born approx. 5/2012 -- 11 years old
**Luigi came into the rescue with his buddy Mario, who unfortunately was sick and had to be euthanized. He was then adopted out to a home with another chinchilla, introduced, and the two got along beautifully... until his new buddy also passed away. Now, he's back and is looking for his lifelong friend!**
**Luigi is currently living at a foster home in Auburn, Indiana. He can be adopted / picked up directly from his foster home, or he can also be brought back to the farm in Wolcott for an adoption as well**
Here's what Luigi's foster home has to say about him: "So far, he's been very curious of me! He likes to nibble on fingers (especially finger nails) but it isn't hard enough to hurt. He likes to come to the front of the cage and see what everyone is doing. So far, he also likes when the cat sits near the cage too. One of our cats likes to stand on her hind legs and look into the cage and he gets right up in front of her and just talks. Not angry barks, just the normal chitter he does with Dan [the foster's pet chinchilla]. He also likes standing on the air vent on the floor. He digs at it and it makes very interesting noises (that I think he likes)."

Takes a little effort to catch when in a cage, likes to play games with you
